Open Firing By Masked Men In Rajkot Petrol Pump: Incident Recorded On CCTV Camera

Rajkot: Political tensions have resurfaced in the Gondal region following a late-night shooting incident at a petrol pump in Ribda village. The attack, which occurred around 1:00 AM on July 24, has raised serious concerns about escalating local rivalries. According to sources, two unidentified men wearing masks arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire at Ribda Petroleum, a petrol station owned by Aniruddhsinh Jadeja. The incident, captured on CCTV, caused panic in the area. Though no injuries were reported, the attackers managed to flee the scene before police could respond.
Javed Khokhar, a staff member on duty at the time, described the terrifying ordeal. “I was inside the office when I suddenly heard gunshots. A bullet shattered the window and struck a wooden part of the in-office temple,” he recalled. As he rushed outside, he spotted two masked individuals on a motorcycle. One of them aimed a gun at him, forcing Javed to run back inside for safety.
Petrol pump manager Jagdishsinh Gohil also responded to the commotion, but by the time he arrived, the gunmen had already escaped. The owners of the petrol station, Jaydeepsinh and Satyajitsinh Jadeja, reached the site shortly afterward and alerted local authorities. Police later recovered a bullet and an empty cartridge from the scene.
What initially appeared to be a mysterious act of violence took a dramatic turn when videos surfaced on Instagram allegedly posted by a man identified as Hardiksinh Jadeja. In the four-part story, Hardiksinh openly claims responsibility for the shooting and issues direct threats to Rajdipsinh Jadeja.
In the now-viral footage, he is seen using provocative and aggressive language, suggesting the attack was a deliberate act tied to personal or political enmity. The videos have intensified public interest in the case and added pressure on authorities to take swift action.
The incident has rekindled speculation about long-standing feuds within the local political circles of Gondal. While police have yet to make an official statement regarding suspects or motives, early reports suggest internal disputes may have played a role. As the investigation continues, law enforcement is examining both the CCTV footage and the viral video as critical pieces of evidence. Meanwhile, the local community watches closely, concerned that this may be just the beginning of a renewed power struggle in the region.
