Nurse Stabbed To Death In Rajkot: Neighbour Suspected To Be The Killer

Rajkot: In a disturbing incident, a 52-year-old nurse was brutally murdered in Rajkot last night, sending shockwaves through the local community. The victim, Chaulaben Patel, had recently moved to Rajkot from Ahmedabad and was employed at the city’s cancer hospital.

According to police sources, Chaulaben was attacked inside her home in Rishikesh Society, located off University Road. The accused, 34-year-old Kanjibhai Vanja, lived just behind her house and allegedly forced his way into her residence. When she resisted his unwanted advances, he stabbed her multiple times with a knife, resulting in her death.

Police have arrested the suspect and launched an investigation into the motive and circumstances surrounding the crime. A case has been registered based on a complaint filed by the victim’s family.

Originally from Ahmedabad, Chaulaben had only been transferred to Rajkot about four months ago. She previously worked at Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad. Her family had urged her to stay in Ahmedabad, but she chose to relocate due to the job transfer, as per the reports.

Authorities responded swiftly after the incident, with senior officers and a police team arriving at the scene to take control of the situation. The investigation is ongoing as the community mourns the loss of a dedicated healthcare worker.
