Murder Case Of Bhavnagar Police Officer’s Son: Crime Scene Reconstructed With Accused

Bhavnagar: In a shocking act of revenge, three men brutally murdered Keval Vaghoshi, son of a woman police officer, in broad daylight near Panchvati Chowk on Shivaji Circle, Bhavnagar. On the third day following the murder, police conducted a crime scene reconstruction with the accused to better understand the sequence of events. Due to heightened public attention, a large police force was deployed, and the area was cordoned off with ropes to prevent any disturbances.

Keval, the son of ASI Rekhaben Vaghoshi of Ghogha Road Police Station, was attacked while standing near a service center with his friend Divyesh Bariya. According to reports, two of the accused, Bharat and Bhargav (alias Bharat) Satiya, approached him on a white two-wheeler. They threatened his friend with a knife and then held Keval while stabbing him repeatedly in the neck and abdomen. Moments later, the third accused, Arjun Satiya, arrived and continued the assault. Keval died on the spot from multiple stab wounds.

ASI Rekhaben Vaghoshi filed a complaint immediately after the incident. Bhavnagar police acted swiftly, arresting all three accused, Arjun Satiya, Bharat Satiya, and Bhargav Satiya, within 48 hours of the attack. The arrests were made when the suspects surrendered at the Ghogha Road Police Station.

The motive behind the murder traces back to 2018, when a violent altercation broke out between Keval Vaghoshi and Karshan alias Bhano Satiya. Karshan suffered fatal injuries in the fight, and Keval was later convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment. However, he had been out on bail for the past two and a half years.

Seeking revenge for their brother’s death, Arjun, Bharat, and Bhargav Satiya allegedly plotted Keval’s murder. Police have registered a case of murder against the trio and continue to investigate the broader circumstances surrounding the killing. The incident has sparked outrage and concern in Bhavnagar, highlighting the potential for long-standing personal vendettas to erupt into public violence.
