Mother-Daughter Duo Die Of Electrocution In Tapi

Both Were Drying Clothes When Incident Took Place

A shocking incident took place in Tapi, where a mother and daughter died of electrocution. Both the mother and the daughter were drying clothes when the incident took place. The incident occurred in the Jesingpura village of Tapi’s Vyara.

Apparently, the pipe on which the clothes were being put out to dry was in contact with an electric wire. Electric current was passing through the wire. When the mother-daughter duo reached there in order to put out the clothes to dry, they touched the pipe and got electrocuted. Both of them died on the spot. The deceased have been identified as Kailashben Gamit and Dhangori Gamit. The sudden demise of the mother and daughter has sent shock waves through their family and the entire village.

The incident has raised questions about people’s awareness about handling electric appliances and objects that have electric current flowing through them. It is important to educate village people about the correct and necessary precautions supposed to be taken when one is near any electric poles or wires. At the same time, it is also crucial that electric wires are not left out in the open.

Similar incidents have taken place prior to this. A 25-year-old man died by getting struck by lightning in Rupakheda village of Jhalod taluka. The man, identified as Bharatbhai Vadakhiya, was nearby his home when lightning struck him. Similarly, a bull also got struck by lightning in Mirakhedi village, due to which it died.
