Massive Fire Erupts Near Chandola Lake In Ahmedabad, Five Fire Tenders Rush To Scene

Ahmedabad: A major fire broke out early Wednesday near Chandola Lake in Ahmedabad, triggering a swift emergency response. The blaze originated at the barrel market, situated close to an oil depot in the area, raising significant concerns due to the flammable materials involved.

According to officials, the fire was reported around 8:00 am. The Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services (AFES) quickly dispatched five fire tenders to the scene. Firefighters acted promptly and managed to bring the flames under control before they could spread further or cause more damage.

“We received a call alerting us to the fire at the barrel market and immediately deployed five fire tenders. Our teams worked efficiently to contain and extinguish the blaze,” said a senior fire officer.

Preliminary investigations suggest the fire may have started in an oil storage unit within the market premises. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities have been reported. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown, and a detailed probe is currently underway.

Despite the severity of the incident, the quick action by emergency services helped avert what could have been a far more dangerous situation.
