Massive Fire Destroys Over 35 Vehicles Near Odhav Ahmedabad Traffic Checkpost

Ahmedabad: Early Monday morning, a catastrophic fire erupted in the parking area of the Odhav I Division Traffic Police Station, reducing 35 impounded vehicles—including two-wheelers, cars, and lorries—to ashes. The Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services Department received an emergency call at approximately 7 AM, prompting the rapid deployment of two fire tenders and a team of 10 firefighters who managed to control the blaze within an hour, averting further damage.

Officials reported that the fire consumed 35 vehicles detained by the traffic police, and an additional 12 vehicles, which had been parked by the public, were also affected by the incident. The cause of the fire remains undetermined, and authorities have initiated an investigation to uncover the reason behind the event.
