
A raging fire broke out today (May 30) morning in a cotton plant of Welspun company in Anjar. The fire occurred at around 11 am. The fire spread rapidly, and huge clouds of smoke erupted into the sky. People at the factory got in panic as the fire took a fierce form.
The fire escalated quickly due to the presence of large stock of cotton in the factory unit. Firefighters rushed to the spot in order to control the fire. Along with the local fire brigade, fire fighters of the Gandhidham Municipality also reached the spot. Efforts to control the fire are going on by 8 fire fighters.

As informed by Divyesh M Dabhi, owner of the company, the fire broke out suddenly in the raw materials which were kept in the cotton unit. However, the cause of the fire is not known yet. He added that as of now the priority is to control and extinguish the fire. After that the loss caused due to the fire will be evaluated through survey.

Meanwhile, officials of the administration also reached the spot to review the situation. The fire is under constant watch of the officers and firefighters, who are working tirelessly to control it. Efforts to extinguish the fire are going on.
