Watch Video : How Air India Crash Survivor Walking Out Of Inferno

New Delhi : Video of the deadly Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad shows Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, the lone survivor, emerging from the medical hostel, where the flight crashed on June 12 and killed 270 people.

In the clip that has gone viral, Ramesh, who was seated on 11A, is seen coming out of the BJ Medical College campus as bystanders witness the crash with plumes of thick black smoke billowing in the background.

Ramesh, an Indian-origin British national, is among the 242 people who were onboard the ill-fated London-bound Air India flight that took off from the Ahmedabad airport on the afternoon of April 12. The plane crashed into BJ Medical Hostel and its canteen complex soon after.

Ramesh is currently being treated at the Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad. Several leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, have met him at the hospital. The plane – a Boeing 787 Dreamliner – was on its way to London’s Gatwick airport at the time of the tragedy.

The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), which investigates aircraft accidents and incidents, recovered the Air India plane’s black box 28 hours after the tragedy, Union Minister of Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu said on June 13. The orange-coloured device that was located near the tail of a plane will help investigate the crash.
