Khambhat: Man Who Raped And Murdered Seven-Year-Old Girl Sentenced To Death In Historic Verdict
The Incident Had Taken Place Seven Years Ago
Khambhat Sessions Court has sentenced Arjun alias Dado Ambalal Gohel to death in the case of rape and murder of a seven-year-old girl. In the incident that occurred in 2019, the accused had lured the girl and then raped her, following which he murdered her. Government lawyer Raghuveer Pandya presented strong arguments during the hearing of the case.
Apparently, 7 years ago, the accused had lured the girl with firecrackers on the day of the Gujarati New Year. He took the girl with him and raped her. In order to destroy evidence, he strangled her to death. Later, the girl’s body was found in a half-naked state in a water tank behind the Mahadev temple.
A police complaint was registered regarding the matter and the accused was sent to jail. The government lawyer had presented strong and concrete arguments during the hearing of the case. On the basis of all the evidence and witnesses presented against the accused, the court found him guilty and sentenced him to death.
