Another case of on-duty death due to heart issues has surfaced, this time in Jamnagar. An employee of the Jamnagar PGVCL rural department office died on May 24 due to cardiac arrest, while on duty. The deceased has been identified as Dineshbhai Lakhubhai Vaghela. His elder brother Tulsibhai Lakhubhai Vaghela, who is a retired ASI, informed the police about the incident. Further proceedings are underway.

The deceased worked at the Gokulnagar Subdivision of the PGVCL office. He was on duty with his co-workers in the Mahajanvas area of the Kansumra village, when he suddenly suffered a heart attack and became unconscious. He was immediately rushed to the GG Hospital, but could not be saved.

The elder brother of the deceased informed the Panchkosi B Division ASI YV Jadeja about the incident, who sent the body for post-mortem. Investigations in the matter are underway. The death of the electricity employee has sent shock waves through the staff and his family.

In the recent times, a number of such deaths have taken place where the person died due to heart issues. A few days back, a Home Guard jawan died of heart attack in Vadodara. He was on duty in the Prime Minister’s roadshow. Such incidents raise questions about the health and well-being of workers, calling for intervention in heart-related death cases.
