Jamnagar Murder Case: Two Arrested For Throwing Disabled Man From Moving Train
Accused Threw The Deceased After A Scuffle Took Place Between Them

On Wednesday (May 12), a dead body was found under the Gulab Nagar railway overbridge in Jamnagar. After the body was identified, investigations were conducted, and it was revealed that it was a case of murder. As per police investigations, it has been revealed that on the way from Porbandar to Vadodara, 2 people had entered the disabled person’s compartment, after which a scuffle took place. Eventually, the 2 persons lifted the disabled person and threw him down from the train, which caused his death due to a haemorrhage. On the basis of a complaint filed by another disabled person who was travelling with the deceased, the police have registered a case and arrested both the accused.
Apparently, 35-year-old Hiteshbhai Mistry, who was travelling in the train coming from Porbandar, had gone missing from the moving train on Jamnagar railway station. After which, PB Vegda, police inpector of the Jamnagar railway police department, had conducted an investigation in the matter with his team.
Meanwhile, a dead body was found early in the morning at 6 am under the Gulab Nagar overbridge. Upon inspection, the railway police found that the body was of Hiteshbhai Mistry. His body was then sent to the Government GG Hospital in Jamnagar for post-mortem. The reports of which revealed that his death occurred due to getting injured on the head. Thus, the police deduced that it was a case of murder, as the deceased was thrown down from the train.
Following which, thorough investigation was conducted by the railway team. As a result, 35-year-old Haji Ayub Katiya, a resident of Bedeshwar area of Jamnagar, and 35-year-old Sadam Kasambhai Kachalia, a resident of Ekde Ek Bapu’s Dargah, were detained. Both these men had entered the disabled persons’ compartment and a scuffle had taken place as they told both the disabled people (the complainant and the deceased) to get down from there.

The matter turned violent, due to which complainant Paulbhai got down at the Jamnagar railway station to contact the police, whereas Hiteshbhai was arguing with the 2 accused. Suddenly, the train started and Paulbhai boarded another compartment. After reaching Hapa railway station, he went to the disabled compartment, where he saw that both the accused and Hiteshbhai were not there. He got down at the Hapa railway station and contacted the police again, to inform that Hiteshbhai had gone missing from the moving train. Based on the complaint, a team of the railway police started searching for Hiteshbhai, and his body was found early in the morning.
The railway police interrogated both the accused, during which it was revealed that after a scuffle with Hiteshbhai, they threw him down from the train. The police have arrested both of them and have undertaken action to seek their remand.
