Jamnagar Looteri Dulhan Case: Accused Middleman, Woman Detained By Police
Amount Of Rs.30,000 Seized From Accused

In a latest update in the ‘looteri dulhan’ case of Jamnagar, a man from Jamnagar and a woman from Kalavad have been detained by the police. In addition, an amount of Rs.30,000 has been seized from them.
Apparently, 39-year-old rickshaw driver Khimjibhai Budhabhai Makwana had struck a deal of Rs.1,80,000 to marry a woman from Maharashtra. The deal was fixed with a certain Yunusbhai Ganibhai Mansuri of Jamnagar. He had acquainted Khimjibhai with a woman named Mumtazben Ajitbhai. Together, Mumtazben and Yunusbhai fixed Khimjibhai’s marriage with a woman from Akola named Rohini Mohanbhai Hingle. As a part of the deal, Yunusbhai and Mumtazben each received Rs.15,000 whereas Rohini got Rs.1,30,000.
As decided, Khimjibhai and Rohini underwent a court marriage in Maharshtra, after which, they returned to Jamnagar. On May 19, Rohini went missing from Darbargadh area on the pretext of shopping. Eventually, complaints were filed against Rohini, Yunusbhai, and Mumtazben for fraud.
Under the supervision of City A Division PI NA Chavda, the PSI of Darbargadh Police Station DG Ramanuj, and writer Bhavyadeepsinh Parmar have detained the accused Yunusbhai and Mumtazben. Moreover, an amount of Rs.15,000 from each of them has been seized, totalling to Rs.30,000. Apart from this, the team of police has extended the investigation to Maharashtra to find the absconding ‘looteri dulhan’ Rohini.
