Jagdish Panchal’s Name Confirmed As Gujarat BJP President, Only Leader To File Nomination

Ahmedabad : Gujarat BJP is going to get a new state president soon. BJP MLA from Nikol assembly constituency of Ahmedabad and current minister Jagdish Panchal has filled the nomination form. But there is every possibility that he will be elected unopposed. However, since no one else has filed his candidacy from the party yet, there is a possibility of Jagdish Vishwakarma winning unopposed.

As soon as Jagdish Panchal filed his nomination form, a wave of congratulations from BJP leaders has started. Senior BJP leaders Babu Jamandas and Suresh Patel congratulated him. Apart from this, Uday Kankade handed over the nomination paper to Jagdish Panchal.

It is worth mentioning that next year, local body elections are to be held in Gujarat. Jagdish Panchal is involved in the textile machinery business. He was born on 12 August 1973 in Ahmedabad. He has studied up to B.A. and M.B.A. in Marketing. He is considered a big OBC face of Gujarat BJP. He started his political journey as a booth in-charge in 1998. He was elected to the assembly three times from Nikol, Ahmedabad.

As a new State party chief, Jagdish Panchal will succeed outgoing State party chief CR Patil. Panchal is expected to head the party during upcoming local polls, in which majority of civic bodies and panchayat bodies will go for elections. The upcoming general election of State assembly will also take place in December 2027 under his leadership as party chief.

Ever since, CR Patil became union minister in the Centre, the State party affairs was handled by General Secretary (Organization) Ratnakar Pandey who is RSS Pracharak. He was assisted by other General Secretary Rajnibhai Patel.  DeshGujarat
