Possibilities Of Rainfall Around May 22 In South Gujarat, Saurashtra

As per the predictions and forecasts of the IMD, several parts of the state are experiencing a change in the weather along with unseasonal rains since the last week. Now, the IMD, in its latest forecasts, has predicted that a cyclonic system is likely to be formed in the Arabian Sea. This raises the possibility of rain and thunderstorm in Gujarat for the next 7 days.

If the storm moves towards Gujarat, heavy rains with strong winds are expected. On the other hand, if the storm moves to somewhere else, still there are possibilities of rainfall around May 22 in South Gujarat and Saurashtra.

In addition, heavy to very heavy rainfall with thunderstorm is predicted in north-eastern parts of the country. Apart from this, thunderstorms and lightning have been predicted in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, and Mahe, in South India.

However, the possibility of a drop in the temperature is bleak. Whereas, light to medium rainfall along with thunder is predicted in scattered areas in the districts of Amreli, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Panchmahal, Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Tapi, Daang, Navsari, and Valsad, for today (May 17) and tomorrow (May 18).

Meanwhile, weather expert Ambalal Patel had predicted a major change in the country’s weather after May 20. Moreover, thunderstorm is likely to be formed in the Arabian Sea. Due to which, heavy rainfall is expected in places like Mumbai. As of Gujarat, effects of the cyclone might be observed from May 20 to May 24.
