The state is witnessing a rise in cases of hit and run in recent times. Another such incident has occurred in Vadodara, wherein a Bolero driver hit a bike, which resulted in the death of 3 people, including a policeman. The accident claimed the lives of Suresh Nersingh Rathwa and Haresh Ramsingh Rathwa, who died on the spot. Another man, Mukesh Rathwa, was immediately rushed to hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed before receiving the treatment.
According to the sources, the accident took place at Gopalpura of Dabhoi, near Vadodara, between a Bolero car and a bike. The three friends were returning home after attending a wedding in Kavant village, when the Bolero hit them.
Mukesh Rathwa, one of the deceased, was a policeman at Kapurai Police Station. He hailed from Turkheda district, Chhota Udepur. On the other hand, Suresh Rathwa and Haresh Rathwa lived in the Kanalva village in Kavant taluka of Chhota Udepur district. They had recently appeared for the PSI exam.
Upon getting information about the accident, police personnel reached the spot. The police have sent the bodies of the deceased for post-mortem, and have initiated investigation. Meanwhile, search for the Bolero driver has also begun.
