High Alert In Kutch After J&K Terror Attack: Police And BSF Intensify Security

Bhuj: Following the tragic terror attacks in Kashmir on Tuesday, which claimed 26 innocent lives, security forces have heightened alert in Gujarat’s Kutch district. The incident has once again highlighted the ongoing threat of terrorism, particularly in regions bordering Pakistan. In Kutch, which shares a desert border with Pakistan, strict checking and surveillance are being carried out.
Kutch Police have launched intensive checking and patrolling in sensitive areas, especially near the Khavda border and the RE-Park zone. All vehicles passing through this area are being thoroughly inspected. Local police and BSF personnel are conducting continuous patrolling to maintain security.
Citizens living in these border areas have been asked to stay vigilant and immediately inform police of any suspicious person or activity. Police stress that strict monitoring in sensitive zones like RE-Park is essential to prevent any untoward incidents. Awareness campaigns are also being run to ensure public cooperation in strengthening border security.
Bhuj Railway Protection Force Inspector Mohan Khichi stated that all trains moving through Bhuj, Anjar, and Gandhidham stations are being checked. Passengers are being regularly warned through announcements not to touch unknown objects and to report anything suspicious to the police.
Surajbari checkpost, the main entry point to Kutch, is under continuous 24-hour vehicle checking, according to Inspector V.K. Gadhvi. Security checks are ongoing in areas like Khavda, Lakhpat, and Nariya near the border, with increased night patrolling and enhanced surveillance using drones and CCTV cameras.
The main goal of these security measures is to ensure that incidents like those in Jammu and Kashmir do not occur in Gujarat. Authorities emphasize the importance of swift action and cooperation from the public to effectively prevent any terrorist activity and maintain peace in border regions.
