
Gujarat is all set to be hustling with political activities, as the national convention of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) will be held at the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad from April 8, for 2 days. All the preparations for the conventions have been done; the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee is undertaking some final arrangements.
More than 3000 delegates from the country, along with veteran Congress leaders will be present at the convention. Special arrangements have been made throughout the course of the event in order to showcase the cultural diversity of Gujarat.
As many as 14 folk culture programmes will be held on the route from the airport to the Riverfront. In addition, workers of the Gujarat Mahila Congress will give a grand welcome to the guests in traditional attire. Garba, siddi dhamaal, and tribal dances will be performed at city’s different venues including Airport Circle, Subhash Circle, Gandhi Ashram and Sabarmati Riverfront.
The meeting will be attended by a number of political personae including Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Congress Parliamentary Party Leader Sonia Gandhi, Chief Ministers of the Congress-ruled states, state presidents and members of the Working Committee. The main convention will be held on April 9, followed by a cultural program in the evening. This convention will also serve as a crucial factor in Congress’s political scenario in Gujarat.

Meanwhile, the posters of the Congress leaders are gaining attention of the masses. Apparently, the posters featuring the political leaders, are designed in the Ghibli style, which is trending throughout the country as of now. This national convention holds much significance, as Gujarat will be hosting a political gathering at this large scale after a period of about 64 years.
