Ahmedabad: Nature has shown an early change of mood in Gujarat as summer barely begins. The India Meteorological Department has forecast moderate unseasonal rainfall across the state over the next two days.
Active western disturbance and cyclonic circulation are driving the shift, with dust storms, lightning, and winds gusting between 30 and 40 kmph accompanying rain across several regions. In Devbhoomi Dwarka district, skies turned overcast without warning today before thunderstorms and strong winds brought unseasonal showers. The rainfall has brought a noticeable drop in temperature in Bhatiya.
Why Has the Weather Changed?
Meteorologists attribute the sudden shift to two active cyclonic circulations, a western disturbance, and a rain trough converging over the region. Temperatures are expected to fall by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next 48 hours offering some relief from the heat, though farmers are growing increasingly anxious about crop damage.
