The Gujarat government has announced further relief for former Agniveers seeking jobs in the state police. Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi made the announcement in Surat. He said former Agniveers will now be exempt from the written examination and the physical test in the direct recruitment process for designated uniformed posts in the police department. According to the amended rules issued by the Home Department on October 9, 2026, the provision will make it easier for Agniveers to secure police jobs.
