
Gandhinagar: In a concerning turn of events, the Gujarat High Court received a bomb threat via email on Tuesday, marking the second such threat reported in the state within a single day. Authorities confirmed that the threatening message claimed a bomb had been planted within the High Court premises.
The email triggered an immediate response from law enforcement. High-ranking officials, along with bomb disposal and dog squad teams, swiftly arrived on-site and began a thorough search operation across the premises. Security has been heightened in and around the High Court as investigations continue. According to Bhukhan, Police Inspector of Sola Police Station, a full-scale probe is currently underway following the receipt of the threatening email.
Earlier the same day, a similar threat was reported at Gujarat Refinery English Medium School located in Karadiya village, Vadodara. The school principal reportedly received an email stating, “A bomb has been planted in the school which can blast anytime.” Authorities acted swiftly, evacuating all students and staff. Jawaharnagar Police, along with bomb disposal and canine units, reached the scene and began a detailed inspection. No suspicious items have been confirmed so far.
This wave of threats follows another incident on Monday, when Navrachana Higher Secondary School in Vadodara’s Sama area received its second bomb threat in just four months. Investigations are ongoing, and officials are yet to confirm whether these threats are connected. More updates are expected as the situation develops.
