Gujarat Govt Announces District in-Charge Ministers; Know Who Got Which District

Ahmedabad: Following the recent cabinet expansion and reshuffle in Gujarat, the state government has assigned all ministers district-level responsibilities to strengthen oversight and governance. Under the arrangement, nine ministers have been made in-charge of two districts each, ten ministers have been given charge of one district, and six ministers have been appointed as co-in-charge.

Key Responsibilities of Ministers

The newly appointed in-charge and co-in-charge ministers will discharge key responsibilities that include regular visits to their allotted districts. During these visits, ministers must familiarize themselves with administrative issues and local challenges facing each district. After understanding the gravity and nature of the problems, ministers will provide appropriate guidance to district officials for resolving them.

Focus on Administrative Control and Implementation

The state government’s decision aims to maintain regional balance and strengthen political and administrative grip at the district level. The in-charge ministers will pay special attention to implementation of welfare schemes, law and order situation, and resolution of local problems in their assigned districts. This move is expected to speed up the administrative process and accelerate development work.
