Gujarat Experiences Change In Weather: Thunderstorms, Rainfall With Hail Occur In Several Districts

Storm-Like Situation Being Experiened In Different Areas

The weather in Rajkot, Bhavnagar, and Botad has changed after the unseasonal rainfall that occurred on Sunday (May 4). Similar situation has taken place in Ahmedabad as well. Strong winds along with clouds of dust blew in several areas of the city. On the other hand, it is feared that the summer crops of Jowar, millet, and sesame might be damaged due to the unseasonal rains.

Amidst the forecast of the IMD, a change has been seen in the weather of Rajkot, Bhavnagar, and Botad. Unseasonal rain has started in Pipardi and Paliyad villages of Botad, in Ranpur and Moti Vavdi as well. On the other hand, unseasonal rain occurred along with hail and wind in areas including Pardi and Vinchiya of Rajkot. In Bhavnagar, people got some relief from heat due to a change in the weather.

In many parts of the state, unseasonal rains have been accompanied by strong winds. There was a change in the weather of Ahmedabad today (Monday, May 5), as strong winds blew in many parts of the city along with dust clouds. Storm-like situation is being experienced in different areas.

As per the prediction, there might be a change in the weather of Ahmedabad, starting from Tuesday (May 6), for the next five days. Along with winds blowing at the speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour, light to medium rainfall accompanied by thunder might also be experienced. According to weather experts, there is a possibility of 63% rainfall on Tuesday (May 6), 70% on Wednesday (May 7), 43% on Thursday (May 8), and 40% on Friday-Saturday (May 9-10).

  • May 5- Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Tapi, Valsad, Navsari, Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Kutch.
  • May 6 to May 9- Patan, Mehsana, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Ahmedabad, Anand, Kheda, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Tapi, Valsad, Navsari, Surendranagar, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Gir-Somnath, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Dwarka, Botad, and Diu.
