Gujarat ATS Busts Jaish-e-Mohammed Network, 8 Terror Operatives Held in Joint Crackdown

Ahmedabad: A major terror conspiracy aimed at threatening India’s internal security has been foiled. The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) carried out a coordinated operation and arrested eight alleged operatives linked to the banned terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) from various districts of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Following the operation, security has been intensified across both states.

Allegedly Working to Expand Terror Network in Gujarat

According to reports, all eight accused are active members of the internationally banned terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed and had been secretly working on behalf of the organisation for an extended period. Investigators allege that they were in contact with the terrorist group and were actively involved in strengthening its network in Gujarat, while also attempting to promote terrorist activities and other anti-national operations.

The Gujarat ATS had received intelligence regarding the alleged terror module. Based on the information, officials launched technical surveillance and simultaneously raided multiple suspected locations in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. During the coordinated search operation, all eight accused were arrested.
