The Couple Reminisced About Their Time In Gujarat In The Video

The airplane crash in Ahmedabad has claimed lives of not only the Indian citizens, but also of foreign nationals. 242 people were onboard the flight; as per sources, out of the 242, 53 were British nationals who lost their lives in the deadly crash. A video of a British gay couple, which was taken at the airport before boarding the flight, is going viral on social media.

The couple has been identified as Jamie Meek, a London-based yoga enthusiast, and his partner, Fiongal Greenlaw-Meek. Both were on a trip to Gujarat. They recorded a series of Instagram stories sharing their experience and time in the state.

In one of the clips, Jamie described his time in the country as a magical and mind-blowing experience. He also mentioned about their stay at The House of MG, a heritage hotel in Ahmedabad, and remarked that “It’s our last night in India”. He further shared that spending their last night at the hotel while enjoying a traditional Gujarati thali was “a perfect way to round up the trip.”

Jamie expressed his happiness and excitement about the trip and also mentioned to make their ‘first ever’ vlog about the trip and post it online. The couple recorded their funny banter and conversations in what is believed to be their last post. Concluding the video, Fiongal said “Going back happily, happily, happily calm.”

Sadly after which, the plane fatally crashed minutes after the take-off. The crash resulted in the deaths of 241 people of the 242 onboard. As per sources, there were 169 Indians, 53 British citizens, 7 Portugese, and 1 Canadian on the plane.
