Firing In Ahmedabad: Former Business Partner Shoots Builder, Two Injured

Ahmedabad: A dramatic shooting incident unfolded in Ahmedabad late on the night of July 11, when a builder was attacked by his former business partner over an alleged financial dispute involving ₹8 crore. Two persons sustained bullet injuries after the incident. The accused opened fire near Patva Sheri, injuring the builder and a bystander, creating panic in the area.

According to reports, the accused, identified as Zahuruddin Nagori, fired three rounds at his former partner, Nasirkhan alias Khanna Pathan, during a confrontation over a monetary issue. Two bullets struck Nasirkhan, while a third hit a passerby named Ujaif, a pedestrian. The firing incident caused chaos, with local residents fearing a gang war due to the sudden violence.

Shojinbanu Pathan, Nasirkhan’s wife and a resident of CF-A Residence near Raikhad Police Line, filed a complaint at Karanj Police Station. She named Zahuruddin Nagori, who resides near Rangila Pol in Shahpur, as the shooter and accused him of attempted murder.

Nasirkhan, currently involved in construction, had been business partners with Zahuruddin from 2018 to 2021. Their partnership ended due to financial disagreements. Nasirkhan reportedly had a substantial amount pending from Zahuruddin and had been trying to recover it for some time.

The shooting occurred outside Nasirkhan’s house while he was sitting nearby. Zahuruddin allegedly approached him and suddenly opened fire. Shojinbanu received a call from a relative who informed her that Zahuruddin had shot her husband. Nasirkhan was immediately rushed to the hospital, where his condition remains critical.

Following the incident, senior police officials arrived at the scene. The Karanj police have registered a case of attempted murder against Zahuruddin Nagori and are conducting further investigations. Security has been heightened in the area to prevent any further escalation. Soon after the incident, a team from Karanj police station reached the spot and cordoned off the area with barricades. Forensic experts were called in, and CCTV footage from nearby establishments is being reviewed as part of the investigation.
