Dwarkadhish Temple To Be Closed After 7 PM Due To Security Reasons

Blackout Announced In Dwarka From 7 PM To 5 AM

Owing to the ongoing critical situation between India and Pakistan, it has been decided that the Dwarkadhish temple will be closed after 7 pm. On the other hand, checkpoints have been set up on the seashore of Somnath. Blackout will be imposed in Jamnagar, Okha, and Dwarka. Amol Awate, SDM of Dwarka, prohibited the worship and entering of people inside the Jagat Mandir after 7 pm. Due to security reasons, a blackout has been imposed in Dwarka from 7 pm in the evening to 5 am in the morning. People have been urged to follow the blackout.

Instructions have also been given to follow blackout from the highway toll booth to Dwarka-Okha. The municipality has been instructed to turn off all the streetlights of Dwarka from 7 pm in the evening. Likewise, people have been appealed to not step outside their homes unless any emergency. Meanwhile, there is a mini lockdown in Kutch and Banaskantha. In addition, bursting of firecrackers and flying of drones has been banned in Jamnagar and Banaskantha districts till May 24, and a state of emergency has been declared.

In Jamnagar, the collector has given instructions to the people to shut businesses. Bhuj, Kandla, Keshod, Jamnagar, Naliya, Mundra, Hirasar (Rajkot), and Porbandar airports in Gujarat will be closed till May 14. Additionally, the 2 major ports of Kutch, Kandla and Mundra Adani port, have also been closed.

The leave of all employees of the Hemchandracharya Uttar Gujarat University has been cancelled, and they have been ordered to be present on duty immediately. Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Gujarat Bhupendra Patel reviewed the situation of the border areas in a high-level meeting.
