Dogs Maul Newborn Baby To Death In Bhavnagar

After Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar also faces the wrath of dogs, as a newborn baby mauled to death by dogs was found today (Thursday, May 15) in the Tilaknagar area. This incident has shaken the entire city. The police have registered a case against an unknown man and woman and are conducting further investigations.
As per the information received, a newborn baby was found in an abandoned place in the Tilaknagar area of the city. The baby had been mauled to death by dogs. The police rushed to the spot and began investigating the matter. A case was registered by the police and the body of the newborn baby was sent to Bhavnagar’s government hospital for post-mortem. Investigations regarding the whereabouts of the newborn baby’s parents, and from where it came from, are going on.
A similar incident took place in Ahmedabad near Hathijan circle, in the Radhe Residency, where a 4-month-old baby was mauled to death by a pet Rottweiler on Monday (May 12) night. The dog had broken free from the distracted owner and had mauled the baby; the baby’s aunt had also suffered bite injuries.
The baby had died while receiving treatment. After sending the baby’s body for post-mortem, the police registered a case against the owner of the dog, Dilip Patel, and had arrested him as well. Such incidents raise questions about the keeping of pets in residential spaces, as people are fearing the rising number of pet attack cases in the state.
