A horrific accident took place on Khedbrahma-Ambaji road near Hingatiya in Sabarkantha district, on Saturday afternoon (May 3). Four people, including a girl, died in the triple accident involving an ST bus, jeep and bike on the Ambaji-Vadodara route. In addition, 9 people got injured, who were immediately shifted for treatment.
According to Kheroj PI NR Umat, 4 of the people who were in the jeep and on the bike have died, whereas 9 others have been injured. They have been shifted to the civil hospital for treatment. On the other hand, a girl who is seriously injured has been shifted to Matoda.
As per police investigation, the three vehicles collided with each other due to unknown reasons, which led to the unfortunate accident. Kheroj police rushed to the spot upon learning about the accident. With the help of the locals, rescue and relief operations were undertaken, and those trapped under the vehicles were subsequently rescued. The injured were immediately shifted to the civil hospital. The PI of Khedbrahma police station, along with his staff, reached to the hospital to obtain information about the treatment.
Soon after the accident took place, Kheroj police rushed to the scene to restore the traffic situation, as the accident had caused long queues of vehicles on the road. Meanwhile, the police are trying to investigate the circumstances which led to the accident. The accident has sent shockwaves through the area and the families of the deceased are in deep grief.
