Congress MP Karti Chidambaram Claims New Inputs In Ahmedabad Plane Crash, Demands Government Probe

Ahmedabad: Congress Member of Parliament Karti Chidambaram has made significant assertions regarding the Ahmedabad plane crash tragedy, claiming fresh information has emerged about the incident. The lawmaker has formally written to Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu seeking an official investigation into the newly obtained details.

My Office Has Submitted New Information to Government: Congress MP

In a letter dated January 5, Karti Chidambaram stated his desire for clarity on the current status of the Air India plane crash investigation. He revealed that following preliminary inquiries, several crucial pieces of information and necessary inputs have surfaced. The MP noted that intelligence gathered by his office has been forwarded to the government authorities. Given the severity of the incident and the magnitude of loss involved, he emphasized that a thorough governmental investigation is essential.

Karti Chidambaram Posed These Two Questions:

  1. Has any investigation, review, or assessment been initiated in this regard?
  2. Has an additional committee been constituted for this purpose?

Chidambaram urged the government to release a fresh report containing the findings of its investigation. It should be noted that on June 12, 2025, an aircraft traveling from Ahmedabad to London crashed shortly after takeoff in Ahmedabad, claiming 260 lives in one of India’s deadliest aviation disasters.
