Ahmedabad: Efforts have been made to revive the Congress in Gujarat. Recently, a two-day national convention of the All India Congress was held in Ahmedabad. In which the possibility of major changes in the organization was expressed. At that time, under the organization creation campaign, the All India Congress Committee today appointed 43 AICC observers and 183 leaders from Gujarat as PCC observers, who have been entrusted with the task of appointing district presidents. In addition, 7 assistant observers have been appointed.
Under Mission Gujarat, the high command has formed a group of four PCC observers along with one AICC observer in each District Congress Committee. Among them, leaders like Harish Chaudhary, Babulal Nagar, Arjun Bamania, Neeraj Dangi, Harishchandra Meena, Bhajanlal Jatav, Kuldeep Indora, Dheeraj Gurjar, Indira Meena, Amin Kagzi, Jagdish Jangid and Manisha Pawar from Rajasthan have also been given the responsibility of AICC observers.
It is to be noted that the two-day national convention of the Congress ahead of the assembly elections to be held in Gujarat in the year 2027 has sparked many political discussions. The central leadership of the Congress, including leaders like Rahul Gandhi, wants to make caste-based census an issue in Gujarat like the rest of the country. However, local leaders of the state are opposing this issue based on past experience.
