Bulldozer Action Started On Illegal Constructions Of Anti-Social Elements Across The State

List Prepared Of 7612 People Involved In Criminal Activities

The government and administration both have ordered strict actions against anti-social elements in Ahmedabad following the Vastral incident.

The state police have prepared a list of 7612 people who have been involved in criminal activities, and the process of demolition has been started in various parts of the state. Bulldozer action has started on illegal constructions in Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, and other cities.

In the presence of police authorities and corporation officials, demolition has been started in Ahmedabad’s Sarkhej, Sardarnagar, Gymkhana, and Dariyapur areas.

The State Monitoring Cell (SMC) had prepared a list of 15 such bootleggers and their illegal properties and constructions; bulldozer action has been initiated there. Following which, the house of the listed bootlegger Babu Rathod of Ahmedabad’s Sarkhej has been demolished today. The police were present at the scene. Babu Rathod has 23 crimes registered against him, including drugs and assault.

On the other hand, in Jamnagar, the process of removing illegal encroachments near Kalavad Nak has been started with the help of the Estate Department and police forces. In the coming time, such encroachments will be removed from various areas of the city.

The campaign against anti-social elements by Vadodara city police continued for the second day on Wednesday, and a total of more than 2000 people were checked. The police had registered 21 cases of drink and drive and detained 109 vehicles.

Around half a dozen cases related to liquor business had been registered against a man named Chandrasinh in the Gorva area. A bulldozer was deployed on this building after receiving information that an illegally constructed mud house was being used for this purpose.

In the entire state, 25 people have been registered against in Ahmedabad, 6 in Gandhinagar, 2 in Vadodara, 7 in Surat, and 12 in Morbi; thus a total of 59 people have been registered against under PASA. 724 people have been detained. 16 illegal buildings have been demolished. 81 illegal electricity theft connections have been removed.

In the coming time, approximately 100 plots, 120 evictions, 265 preventive measures, around 200 demolitions and around 225 illegal electricity connections will be removed.

Following the orders of the state police chief, a list of 7612 people involved in criminal activities has been prepared. In which, there are 3264 bootleggers, 2149 body-related offenders, 958 property-related offenders, 516 gamblers and 545 people involved in other anti-social activities. Watch will be kept on all these people, and their illegal encroachments, electricity connections, and suspicious financial transactions will be investigated.
