
Ahmedabad : Air India’s plane has crashed in the Meghaninagar area of Ahmedabad. The incident took place near Gujsel Airport near Ghoda Camp in the Meghaninagar area here. On receiving information about the incident, three fire brigade vehicles and a police convoy reached the spot. During this, plumes of smoke were seen from a distance, spreading fear among the residents of the area.

The accident happened during take-off and the aircraft reportedly was an Air India plane. However, no official confirmation has come yet on whether the plane was Air India’s. Emergency services rushed to the spot following the crash, including seven fire engines. The flight, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, carried 242 people, including 230 passengers and 12 crew members. Visuals from the area showed thick black smoke in the air as more details about the accident were awaited.

An Air India flight to London crashed near Ahmedabad airport shortly after take-off on Thursday afternoon. Flight AI 171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, carried 230 passengers and 12 crew members.
