
Ahmedabad: The mortal remains of three Gujaratis who lost their lives in the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, were brought back to Gujarat today. As of the time of this report, the state government had arranged for the repatriation of the bodies of a father-son duo from Bhavnagar and a young man from Surat to their hometowns.
Bodies Reached Ahmedabad Airport
The mortal remains of the two deceased from Bhavnagar a father and son were brought to Ahmedabad Airport by air. At the airport, state ministers paid floral tributes. Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi, state spokesperson minister Raghavji Patel, and Director General of Police Vikas Sahay were among those who offered their respects. After the tribute ceremony, the bodies were transported by road to their hometown, Bhavnagar. Their final rites will be held there tomorrow.
Surat Victim’s Body Being Flown to Surat
Arrangements were also made to send the mortal remains of the Surat youth by flight to Surat. Authorities ensured that six of his relatives were safely flown from Srinagar to Delhi and then from Delhi to Surat. His body is expected to arrive shortly at Surat Airport, where his family and local residents will pay their last respects.
