Blackout Imposed At Banaskantha, Kutch Amid India-Pakistan War

Order Comes From Central Government After Pakistan Conducts Attacks On Border Areas

Amid tensions going on between India and Pakistan after Operation Sindoor, Pakistan not only launched drone attacks, but also fired missiles at Kashmir, Punjab, and Rajasthan, late on Wednesday night. In view of this act, the central government imposed a blackout in Kutch late at night. In addition, a blackout will be imposed in Kutch every night until new orders are issued. An alert has been issued in border areas such as Banaskantha and Patan due to the ongoing war conditions. A blackout has been imposed in the 12 villages of Suigam taluka and 12 villages of Vav taluka, of the Banaskantha district.

Due to the drone and missile attacks conducted by Pakistan in the border areas of Punjab, Rajasthan, and Kashmir late at night, the Union Home Ministry ordered the border areas to remain on alert. As a result, a blackout was imposed in entire Kutch, including Naliya and Nakhtrana. Lights were off not only in cities, but also in village areas. The local administration had appealed to the people to stay at their homes. The border areas are under the supervision of military forces. Activities of the Pakistani army are under strict watch. The Vayu Sena is also on alert at the Bhuj Airport. The army is prepared to face any situation.

The mock drills were designed to teach people how to be careful in a war situation. On Thursday as well, people living at the border areas were instructed to stay at safe places. Similarly, villagers living in the border areas of Banaskantha and Patan were also acquainted with the war situation and were warned. The Collector and the local administration are supervising the entire situation.

On the other hand, the private and government hospitals situated on the border areas have been equipped with doctors and para-medical staff. Additionally, medicines have also been stocked up. The local administration has also made arrangements for other alternatives if the power supply is disrupted. The entire situation is being monitored from the Gandhinagar control room.
