What is the case about?
Late on the night of December 29, near Monpar village in Bagdana, Mahuva, eight individuals attacked a young man with axes and pipes. A complaint was subsequently registered against the eight accused. The victim made serious allegations against Jayraj, son of folk artist Mayabhai Ahir. However, Mahuva’s in-charge DYSP claimed the assault occurred because Navneet was suspected of providing information about liquor activities.
Serious allegations against Mayabhai Ahir’s son Jayraj
During a Mumbai event, Mayabhai Ahir had mentioned the name of a managing trustee for Bagdana Dham. Later, Navneet Baldhia called him to clarify that no managing trustee had been appointed yet. Understanding his mistake, Mayabhai Ahir recorded an apology video. Allegations are now being made that Mayabhai’s son Jayraj orchestrated the attack in retaliation for this incident.
Why anger against police?
Significantly, in this case, the victim alleged that Jayraj, son of folk artist Mayabhai Ahir, was the mastermind. However, the PI and DYSP gave Jayraj a clean chit in their preliminary investigation, stating he had no involvement.
