Amit Shah Unveils Development Projects Worth ₹707 Crore In Gandhinagar

Gandhinagar: Union Home Minister and local MP Amit Shah visited Gandhinagar on Saturday, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for various development projects worth ₹707 crore. The initiatives, undertaken by the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation and GUDA (Gandhinagar Urban Development Authority), include public infrastructure and health services.
During his visit, Shah inaugurated a new Primary Health Centre in Vavol and opened a newly constructed underpass connecting Sectors 21 and 22. He also inaugurated another Primary Health Centre in Pethapur, followed by the inauguration of the Amrut Lake in Kolavda.
Additionally, he attended ceremonies for the launch and groundbreaking of several projects in Kolavda village, involving the Corporation and Postal Department. Shah was accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi, and local MLAs.
In total, Shah inaugurated and performed groundbreaking ceremonies for 78 projects under the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation. These include 45 new projects worth ₹575.43 crore. The North Assembly constituency will see 15 projects worth ₹168 crore, while the South constituency will receive 22 projects totaling ₹321.50 crore. Another 8 projects worth ₹85.26 crore will span both regions.
Key highlights among the announced developments include the ₹16.46 crore underpass from Panchdev Mandir in Sector 22 to Sector 21, and the ₹11.52 crore lake project in Kolavda. The visit marked a major step in the rollout of planned civic upgrades across Gandhinagar.
