Ambaji Gabbar Hill Darshan and Ropeway to Remain Closed from April 15 to 17 for Beehive Removal

Ambaji: Visitors heading to Gujarat’s popular pilgrimage site Ambaji should note that Darshan at Gabbar Peak, the 51 Shakti Peeth Parikrama, and the temple ropeway service will remain closed from April 15 to April 17, 2025, due to essential beehive removal work. The Arasuri Ambaji Mata Devasthan Trust, which manages the Ambaji Shakti Peeth at Gabbar, has announced that all services will resume on April 18, 2025.
The decision follows increased bee activity on Gabbar Hill, which has raised safety concerns for pilgrims. With the onset of summer, 25 visitors have recently reported bee stings, and multiple honeybee hives have been found along the darshan path, the 51 Shakti Peeth Parikrama route, and other areas around the hill.
After receiving several complaints, the authorities have decided to carry out beehive removal operations from April 15 to 17 in the interest of public safety. During this period, darshan and access to the ropeway and Parikrama will be suspended. Pilgrims are advised to plan their visit accordingly and cooperate with the ongoing safety measures.
