Ahmedabad Traffic Police Turns Viral ‘Saiyaaran’ Craze Into A Road Safety Message

Ahmedabad: In a clever twist, the Ahmedabad Traffic Police have turned the Bollywood film Saiyaara’s popularity into a powerful message about road safety. India’s latest sensation Saiyaara isn’t just ruling the box office, it’s gone viral on social media, with fans obsessing over its scenes, songs, and reels. But it’s not just film buffs jumping on the trend.
Using a trending scene from the movie, the police posted a witty reminder on platform X (formerly Twitter), urging citizens to wear helmets. The post read: “If Sajyara asks you to ride and without a helmet, to make the moment last — wear your helmet, and make sure he does too.”
The campaign doesn’t stop there. In another creative nudge, they added: “Whether you’re solo or riding with Sajyara, don’t forget the helmet.” By blending pop culture with public messaging, the traffic department is targeting young riders in particular, highlighting the importance of helmet use in a fun, relatable way.
This campaign follows recent criticism from the Gujarat High Court, which pulled up local authorities for not strictly enforcing traffic laws. Since then, the Ahmedabad Traffic Police have stepped up patrols and crackdowns. Riders without helmets or driving on the wrong side of the road are now facing fines as part of a broader road safety drive.
