Ahmedabad: Speeding AMTS Bus Rams Into Streetlight Pole, Lands On Divider As Driver Loses Control

A serious accident took place in the Jamalpur area of Ahmedabad on July 12. An AMTS bus rammed into a streetlight pole and landed on the divider. The accident took place at 12:40 AM. The bus driver got seriously injured in the accident. Moreover, the front part of the bus also got severely damaged.
The Route No.17 AMTS bus was on its way from Karnavati Chowk to Meghaninagar. As per an eyewitness, the driver was speeding down from the Ashok Bhatt Bridge, when he suddenly lost control. Due to which, the bus rammed into a streetlight pole, and later landed on the divider.
The accident left the bus driver seriously injured. Locals, who rushed to the spot, rescued the driver by breaking the glass. The driver, identified as Majidbhai, was immediately sent to the trauma center at LG Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, police also reached the spot upon learning about the incident. Investigations in the matter are going on. However, primary findings indicate that the accident was caused because the driver allegedly lost control.
