
Police Commissioner GS Malik has given strict orders against the Ahmedabad City Police, in which the police inspectors of all the police stations of the city will have to be present at their police station till 12 midnight. Additionally, they will have to attend to the citizens who visit the station between 4 to 6pm.
As per the order issued by Ahmedabad Police Commissioner GS Malik, the Special Police Commissioner/Additional Police Commissioner/Deputy Police Commissioner/Assistant Police Commissioner will have to be present at the office every day between 12 noon and 4pm to hear the complaints of the visitors coming to their respective offices.
If a written application is submitted by the visitor for their complaint, the application will have to be accepted, and necessary legal action will have to be undertaken. If in case, the above-mentioned officials are not present in the office due to any unavoidable reasons, the Reader PSE or Personal Assistant of their office will have to meet the applicant and hear their complaint.
Apart from this, police inspectors, from 6 to 9pm, will have to engage in patrolling, vehicle checking, checking of criminals, checking of absconding and accused persons, and checking of history-sheeters in their areas every day. Additionally, Deputy Police Commissioners will have to make surprise visits to their subordinate police stations.
