Ahmedabad Police Arrest Woman Behind Honeytrap Racket, Cops Earlier Arrested 3 Of her Accomplices
Ahmedabad : The Naroda police have finally caught a woman who trapped businessmen in honey traps and extorted lakhs of rupees after one year. Police had previously arrested three of her accomplices. However, the woman had been evading police for the last one year. The woman had married a young man and was planning to have a reception, but police arrested her during the ongoing ceremony before her reception.
On the instruction of PI P.V. Gohil of Naroda Police Station, separate police teams were working to catch a woman who had been running away in a honey trap case for a year. Based on information, police have arrested Hina alias Janvi Vadodala from Gota in Ahmedabad. Along with Sagar from Rajkot, she had trapped a businessman in a love trap and then extorted lakhs of rupees from businessmen under different pretexts.
The woman messaged a Rajasthan real estate trader on WhatsApp using the name Shital Patel and called him to meet in Naroda. There, the trader went shopping with the woman and later on the road, suddenly 3 people came in a car and threatened to implicate him in a rape case by asking what he was doing with their wife, demanding Rs 50 lakhs.
In another complaint, a trader living in Surat who deals in nutrition powder received a call from someone identifying themselves as Shital Mehta. She started talking about wanting to buy nutrition powder for weight loss. Under the pretext of explaining details, she called the trader to meet and took him near a canal towards Dahegam on her Activa.
After these two complaints were filed, Naroda police arrested Jayrajsinh Boricha, Vijay Sagar and Mangalubhai Khachar. However, the main accused who lured and called the traders had been absconding for a year. Upon receiving information, police caught the woman from Gota.
