Ahmedabad Mehmudpura Crackers Factory Blast: A shocking revelation has come to light in connection with the massive blast that occurred today (July 18, 2026) at the Mehmudpura firecracker factory on Ramol-Gatrad Road. Details have emerged pointing to serious negligence and a dark history on the part of the factory’s operators behind this tragedy. The firecracker factory had been run for more than 20 years by Ramilaben Dodiya (mother of Mehul Dodiya). What makes this more shocking is that the same factory had previously seen a horrific blast in 2014, in which a 14-year-old minor child was killed.
New Revelation in Mehmudpura Firecracker Factory Blast
According to information received, the site was initially leased by Narendrabhai and Ramilaben, who began firecracker production there. However, due to earlier accidents and irregularities, the authorities had revoked their licence. As soon as the licence was cancelled, in order to circumvent the law, a fresh licence was obtained in the name of Ramilaben’s son, Mehul Dodiya, and the factory was kept running.
2014 Blast at the Same Site Had Also Killed a 14-Year-Old Minor
The biggest twist in this case is that police had recently submitted a negative report on the factory’s licence renewal application. How the factory continued to operate despite the police’s negative opinion has now become a subject of investigation.
