
Gajendrasinh Parmar, the key accused in the rape case of a female BJP worker, has not been arrested yet by the police as he has direct protection from the Home Department.
On Thursday, the victim received information that the accused was in a farmhouse at the Vasna Chaudhary village of Gandhinagar. The woman then reached the farmhouse and also informed the police control room.
However, when the police did not arrive, she went inside the farmhouse and caught hold of Gajendrasinh. He and his driver got in a scuffle with the woman, following which both the men fled from the spot.
The woman chased Gajendrasinh, but got into an accident with his car on the highway, and got injured. Meanwhile, Gajendrasinh fled from there as well.
The woman has taken steps to register a complaint at the Dahegam police station.
As per the details, the woman had reached the farmhouse upon knowing that the absconding rape accused Gajendrasinh was there. She called the police control room 17 times; after more than two hours, when the police did not show up, she went inside and caught Gajendrasinh.
He beat her and even tried to strangle her, whereas his driver, Sanjay Zala, hit the woman on the head with a stick. They also beat a man who had accompanied the woman and was trying to save her.
The woman was admitted to Gandhinagar civil hospital due to her injuries. Suspended PSI GS Goswami was also present at the hospital with the driver Sanjay Zala. According to reports, the cop had created an atmosphere of fear by forcing the staff of the Sector-7 police station to put pressure on the woman.
After receiving treatment, the woman reached the Dahegam police station and has taken steps to register a complaint against MLA Gajendrasinh Parmar, his driver Sanjay Zala, suspended cop GS Goswami who came to the MLA’s aid, and the person who owns the farm in Vasna Chaudhary village.
