70-Year-Old Farmer Killed In Jamnagar; Third Murder Incident In Last 48 Hours

In the last 48 hours, third murder incident has taken place in Jamnagar, which has shaken the city. A murder took place each in Mungni village of Jamnagar taluka and in Jamnagar city recently. On Thursday (May 15), a murder took place in the Nanduri village of Lalpur.

In the horrific incident, a dispute occurred over the cutting of a tree. In which, a 70-year-old farmer who was called for mediation, was fatally attacked and murdered with an iron rod. The police have detained a farmer and registered a case of murder.

On the other hand, a murder took place in the Mungni village of Jamnagar taluka on Wednesday. Apart from that, an incident had come to light in which a disabled person was thrown down from a moving train, whose body was found under the Gulabnagar overbridge. Now, one more incident of murder has surfaced.

A 70-year-old farmer was attacked and murdered in the Nanduri village of Lalpur taluka. Apparently, Jetabhai Bhikhabhai Karangiya and Khimabhai Karangiya were at dispute with each other over the cutting of a tree.

After that, on Thursday morning at 9:30 am, Jetabhai was called for mediation, where eventually Khimabhai got provoked. He attacked Jetabhai with a sharp iron rod on the head, due to which the latter was seriously injured and was rushed to the hospital. He died while receiving treatment. On the basis of the complaint filed by the deceased’s son against Khimabhai Karangiya, the police have arrested the accused.
