36 Cows Die After Eating Poisonous Fodder In Deesa
Fodder Got Poisoned Due To Humidity As Per Initial Reports

A tragic incident has taken place in Deesa. Around 270 cows are nurtured and nourished at the Bhiladiyaji Mahajan Panjrapole in Balodhar, Deesa. On Wednesday (May 14), the cows were given fodder to eat, after which, 36 cows died due to poisoning. As per the veterinarian, initial findings suggest that the fodder got poisoned due to humidity, which caused the animals’ death.
According to information, around 270 cows are taken care of at the Bhiladiyaji Mahajan Panjrapole in Balodhar village of Deesa taluka. Apparently, on May 14, Wednesday evening, fodder was given to the cows. Eating which, the cows started dying one after the other, with the final death toll at 36.
When the Panjrapole manager learned about the incident, he sent a team of Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Officer to the spot, where post-mortem of the cows was conducted. In addition, 15 cows were treated and saved. The deceased cows were buried in a pit with the help of a JCB vehicle.
As per the veterinary doctor, the harvested green fodder which was given to the cows became poisonous due to excessive heat and humidity. The initial reports revealed that the cows died after eating the poisonous fodder.
