17 Year Old Killed In Hit And Run By Reckless Truck Driver Near Nenpur

Nadiad: A teenager lost his life in a horrific hit and run road accident on the Mahemdavad-Ahmedabad highway near Nenpur crossroads on Sunday evening. The tragedy unfolded when a speeding truck rammed into a motorcycle from behind, throwing its two riders onto the road and leading to fatal consequences.

The deceased has been identified as Bhavesh Jashvantbhai Dabhi, 17-year-old, a resident of Rampura village in Daskroi taluka. He was returning home on a motorcycle along with his cousin, 19-year-old Yogesh Ghanshyambhai Dabhi, after attending a wedding in Sanali village, Mahudha taluka.

According to police, the duo was riding past the Nenpur crossroads when a truck (registration GJ-23-Y-7142) approached at high speed and violently struck their motorcycle. The impact was so severe that both riders were flung onto the road. Bhavesh sustained critical injuries and died on the spot, while Yogesh was injured.

Eyewitnesses reported that the truck driver did not stop after the crash. Instead, he continued driving recklessly, colliding with at least three more vehicles before eventually abandoning the truck and fleeing the scene. Mahemdavad police have launched a manhunt for the absconding driver and have filed a case of reckless driving and causing death due to negligence.
