15 Year Old Girl Gets Pregnant After Repeated Sexual Assault By Foster Father In Rajkot District

Rajkot: A deeply distressing case has emerged from a village in the Dhoraji taluka of Rajkot district, where a 15-year-old girl became pregnant after allegedly being sexually assaulted multiple times by her foster father. The shocking incident came to light after the girl complained of persistent stomach pain and was taken to a local hospital, where doctors confirmed she was pregnant.

The minor, a student of Class 10, had been living with her foster father in a small village under the Dhoraji taluka. For several days, she experienced severe abdominal discomfort. Her family initially believed it to be a minor health issue and did not pursue further investigation. However, when her condition worsened, she was taken to a nearby hospital.

During the medical examination, doctors informed the family that the teenager was pregnant. The revelation sent shockwaves through the family. Her mother, distraught and confused, gently questioned the girl about the circumstances. The girl finally disclosed that her stepfather had been sexually abusing her for an extended period.

According to the girl’s statement, the man, who had raised her as his own daughter, repeatedly assaulted her, exploiting her trust and innocence. The abuse had gone unnoticed until the pregnancy revealed the horrifying truth.

Despite the emotional turmoil, the girl’s mother showed remarkable courage by approaching the Patanvav police station to lodge an official complaint against the accused. The police treated the matter with the urgency and seriousness it demanded, and the accused was arrested soon after.

The case has been registered under several stringent provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. These include: Section 64(2)(F), 64(2)(I), 64(2)(M) and 65(1) of the Indian Penal Code (as per the updated BNS), Sections 4 and 6 of the POCSO Act, which deal with penetrative sexual assault and aggravated penetrative sexual assault on minors.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Simran Bhardwaj confirmed the arrest and emphasized the seriousness of the charges. “This is a heinous crime involving the abuse of parental trust. We are conducting a thorough investigation, and strict action will be taken under the law,” she stated.

The minor is currently receiving medical and psychological support. Authorities have also initiated procedures to ensure her safety and well-being moving forward.
