12 Year Old Girl In Rajkot Found With Five Months Pregnancy, Two Juveniles Allegedly Raped Her

Rajkot: In a disturbing case of minor rape, a 12-year-old girl from Rajkot has been found to be five months pregnant, allegedly after being sexually assaulted by two minor boys, including a close relative. Rajkot B-Division Police have filed a case under the POCSO Act and launched a thorough investigation.

The girl, a Class 5 student, had travelled to Maharashtra with her parents during the school holidays. During her stay, she began experiencing abdominal pain, prompting her family to seek medical attention. Doctors at the hospital were shocked to discover that the girl was five months pregnant.

When questioned by her family, the girl initially named a teenage boy from her neighborhood, leading to a police complaint being filed in Maharashtra. The case was then transferred to the Rajkot police, where further questioning revealed a second alleged perpetrator.

According to investigators, the girl later disclosed that she had been sexually assaulted on multiple occasions by a 16-year-old relative, who had threatened her with violence if she spoke about the abuse. She also revealed that another boy, approximately 13 years old and a friend of the first, had raped her once during the Navratri festival. 

Inspector S.S. Rana, who is handling the investigation, confirmed that both boys are juveniles and that appropriate legal action is being taken under the POCSO Act. The accused relative is said to have exploited the girl repeatedly when her parents were away for work.

The child is currently receiving medical care and psychological support. Authorities are working closely with child welfare officials to ensure her protection and well-being as the legal proceedings continue.
