“We Are Staying Strong”: Dipika Kakar Opens Up About Her Stage 2 Liver Tumour Size Of A Tennis Ball | Video

Famous television actress Dipika Kakar has been diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. The star shared on Instagram that it has been “one of the most difficult times” she and her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, have faced. The couple also posted a deeply personal health update in a new video Shoaib’s YouTube channel.

In the video, they revealed that Dipika is battling a tumour, a tennis ball-sized malignant growth in her liver at stage 2, which doctors believe is fully treatable through surgery. However, the operation, originally planned for this week, has been postponed as Dipika is still recovering from the flu.

The couple reassured their followers and fans that the medical team is confident about her recovery once the tumour is surgically removed. They also asked fans to keep Dipika in their thoughts and prayers during this challenging time. “We are staying strong,” they said, and sought blessings from everyone.

In addition to the tumour, Dipika has been experiencing significant pain caused by a gall bladder stone, adding to her discomfort and further delaying her treatment. Shoaib also spoke about their son, Ruhaan, and how he has been coping with the situation. He said, “Bohut samajhdaari se usne behave kiya” (He has behaved very sensibly). “His feeding has stopped completely.”

Dipika added, “Usko pata hai ki mumma theek nahi hai, wo samajh gaya hai. Woh ek aadh baar din mein aake mujhe bolta hai, par phir wo samajh jaata hai ki mumma theek nahi hai. But yes, sab log hain. So, we are staying strong” (He knows that mumma isn’t well. He comes once or twice a day to me, but then he understands that mumma isn’t well. But yes, everyone is here for support).

The video was titled “Toughest Phase of Our Life | Keep Dipi in Your Prayers,” giving fans a raw and honest look into the emotional and physical challenges the family is currently facing.
