Vidyut Jammwal’s Hollywood Breakthrough as Dhalsim in Street Fighter Film

Indian action star Vidyut Jammwal is poised to make his Hollywood debut, securing the role of Dhalsim in Legendary’s live-action adaptation of the iconic Capcom video game series Street Fighter, according to sources cited by Deadline. The film, helmed by directors Danny and Michael Philippou, known for their horror hit Talk to Me, is set to bring the beloved fighting game to the big screen with a star-studded cast.
Jammwal, celebrated for his high-octane performances in Bollywood films like Commando and Khuda Haafiz, will portray the yoga-practicing, fire-breathing fighter Dhalsim. He joins a talented ensemble that includes Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Cody Rhodes as Guile, Jason Momoa as Blanka, and David Dastmalchian as Bison. The project, a collaboration between Legendary Entertainment and Capcom, is slated for release on March 20, 2026, with filming scheduled to begin in early 2025 in Australia.
